MAPS School News

September 14, 2022
Dear Parents and staff:
As reported in my August 29 letter, Menominee schools projected the return of middle and high school students back to in person learning on Monday, September 19. Unfortunately, that target date cannot be met as cleaning efforts have taken longer than anticipated while the district has prioritized thoroughness and safety. However, we were informed yesterday that air quality samples have passed rigorous testing requirements, which will allow construction crews to complete the work necessary to reopen the building. At this point we do not want to provide another anticipated date for face to-face instruction as this unprecedented situation has been difficult to predict But, starting today the district will provide weekly updates about cleaning, construction and options for fully and safely returning students and staff to the building.
Again, thank you all for your understanding and patience as we navigate this situation. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly at 906-863-9951, Ext 2127.
Yours in education,

Richard Sarau
