Hello MAPS School Community: It is with the deepest sadness that we inform you of the passing of MAPS Superintendent Mr. John Mans. The board of education has named Steve Martin as the interim superintendent and has brought in DeeAnne Pohlmann, former Central Elementary Principal, to provide additional support for the district. Information regarding his funeral services will be released by the family. Our most sincere condolences go out to Mr. Man’s family and friends. His impact on the school and community will be missed.

The August 3, 2021 Referendum (Phase One) will address needs at the Jr/Sr High School as those present the most recognized and accepted needs with the clearest solutions. Phase Two will determine the best solution to “right-size” the elementary and intermediate schools and address current and future enrollment needs. This is a complex issue with several options that the school board wants to be sure to get right. Answering the many questions that surround this issue (Phase Two) will take some time and require an expanded engaging of the community.
